Sloth hugging and some of my favorite things in Costa Rica

The hubby and I finally sat down to look at the last half of our Costa Rica trip (from AUGUST!) and I fell in love all over again.

Here I am at the Toucan Rescue Ranch holding my favorite type of baby.

This place is so magical!  (Leslie, I’m already trying to figure out how to come back soon!)

We also loved Manuel Antonio. The Hotel Si Como No is absolutely amazing. We actually saw monkeys, iguanas and beautiful birds from our balcony.  This is the view from the Outdoor Lobby.

We enjoyed drinks IN the pool.

ALL my boys loved the slide.

And the breakfast.

We even ordered the famous fiery banana dessert at the Rico Tico Bar at the hotel.  All these happy little geckos were licking our table before the show and we couldn’t figure out why until the show started and a sweet liquor was poured ALL over the table and lit on fire….it was definitely memorable.

My guys LOVED El Avion.

And the train restaurant.

And this house we rented in Cahuita was just divine.  (Thank you, Jenny at Global Family Adventures!) It was so nice having a kitchen for a couple meals and the beaches nearby were AMAZING!

The hubby is still dreaming about the breakfasts.  We made sure we brought back pineapple and guava jam but it’s just not the same without the sunshine and beach.

And I’m just dreaming about my sloths.  I love that pictures can just bring you back to the moment and I always come home wondering why we didn’t take more.

(PS. this is my linkup for Photo Friday on Deliciousbaby and Friday Day Dreamin’ on Rwethereyetmom.)

Fabulous photos – Every time I see pics from Costa Rica it makes me want to book a trip there! That sloth is adorable!!

  2. Love seeing more of your Costa Rica pictures! The boys look like they had such a blast on this trip. We really want to go to Costa Rica but I’m not sure it’s going to happen next year since other trips came up. You guys stayed at some wonderful places. You’re not that far behind with pictures and posts…I’m still writing about a trip from January 🙂

Who would have thought sloths could be so cute and snuggly? The resort looks like a fabulous place – thanks for sharing!

  4. My 7-year-old daughter and I are now dreaming of Costa Rica. That El Avion restaurant looks interesting (and what a backstory). My girl likes that you can drink in the pool. And we both like that baby sloth.
